Hi Scott!

Just discovered your blog, so I'm a bit "late" for commenting on this one.

I think your absolutely right on pointing at the cultural shift that has to be made in order to appraise and benefit from the technology shift.
CoreMedia began to do this cultural shift nearly two years ago now and since a few months we are making our first experiences implementing the technology and advance our software.

And still, we're only experienced beginners. :)

Also great thanks to your Charlie presentation, I think it opened some eyes.

Keep on opening eyes!

Cheers,
Björn

Thanks all. It's good to know there are others out there who appreciate the cultural influences of E2.

Susan - glad you like Charlie!

Hey Scott. So true. Some of us have been harping on this aspect of enterprise 2.0 for a long time, but it has mostly fallen on deaf ears, unfortunately. The technology is easy to fall in love with. ;-) One of the most significant takeaways from the McAfee/Davenport debate for me was McAfee's call for enlightened leadership within enterprises to foster and encourage cultural transformation. Even though these technologies thrive at the grass roots, emergent level, without the right executive support and engagement, there is a limit to their potential. In the case studies coming out of the conference, we are seeing where there was executive support and active participation, there were results.

By the way, thanks so much for CHARLIE! I still get emails and references to this show.

People seem to neglect something as obvious as :"entreprise 2.0 is about....enterprise".

100% agree with you too.
