Update September 2012

My main work at the moment is helping organisations move to Google Apps to save on IT costs and revamp their business with a modern tool-set.  I’m also contracted as a web consultant to the University of Kent.

Immediately prior to this I worked in the e-learning space as co-founder of ASA Interactive.

From around 2006 I have been a big advocate for social business software, or what was being called Enterprise 2.0.  My presentation Meet Charlie – What is Enterprise 2.0 got me on the speaking circuit for a while and opened up lots of great connections and opportunities.

Career Background

I’m a consultant and Project Manager with a passion for web technology and how it can transform business, relationships and processes.

Early in my career I spent over ten years in IT project management for Pfizer, during which time I managed the industry’s largest clinical trial system, worked on Wyeth EU integration projects and cut my teeth on the design and deployment of web based social tools, a.k.a Web 2.0 and Enterprise 2.0.

I also spent three years in a Belgian startup as a PM and consultant for the design, development and monetization of a knowledge management platform.

More recently I co-founded ASA Interactive as a collaboration with a successful work-based training provider. I looked after the technology side and lead all client engagements. In August 2012 I switched to an advisory role and now focus on consultancy projects.

I’ve worked across many functions and sectors on both the training side and development of social tools for business. As part of this work I often speak at industry events and host workshops / masterclasses for industry executives.
